Thank you, Dad for all the times,
you were there to care.
The special moments in my life,
when you were there to share.
You'll never know how much it meant,
to have you there, you see,
encouraged by your silent smile,
I knew you cared for me.
And from your fine examples,
you taught me right from wrong.
I leaned from you that sharing love,
will also make us strong.
Thank you, Dad, for all that you,
have sacrificed for me.
And thank you, Lord, for making Dad,
the best that he could be.

The Farmer's Prayer
Thank you, Lord, for all your gifts,
the sunlight bright and warm,
the winter snow and summer rain,
that help us on our farm.
Thank you for the mild spring days,
so perfect for planting seed.
And send a little rain our way,
you know exactly what we need.
Protect our crops out in the field,
from the raging summer storm.
And fill the rows of tasseled stalks,
with golden yellow corn.
Please help us, too, at harvest time,
to gather in the yield,
the blessings of your bounty,
from a thankful farmer's field.
