Oliver Tractors - Enthusiast Color Series

The 1929 merger of American Seeding Machine, Hart-Parr Tractor, Nichols & Shepard, and Oliver Chilled Plow Works was largely a response to the market domination of John Deere and International Harvester, but their complementary product lines proved a successful recipe until Oliver's buyout in 1960 by the White Motor Corporation. This all-color history begins with a brief overview of the four companies and their products prior to the merger before going on to examine a gallery of great tractors produced by Oliver under the Oliver, Oliver Hart-Parr, Cockshutt, and Cletrac badges. The photography showcases the finest restored and factory-original Oliver tractors in existence. Sftbd., 8 1/4 x 9, 96 pgs., 80 color ill.
